Why the target is 950 KB

Some upload systems define 1 MB as 1,000,000 bytes. Filenero aims for 950 KB to leave a safety margin so the result is less likely to be rejected.

Readable quality comes first

Short scanned documents can usually reach the target with good clarity. Long or image-heavy PDFs may require stronger compression. Filenero stops at a readable quality floor and reports the best result instead of silently creating an unusable document.

Private browser-based compression
